Welcome to the home page for the Shire of Crescent Moon, located in Topeka, Kansas. We are part of a world-wide living history organization called the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating pre-17th-century European history.
What makes us different, is that we attempt to recreate history. Instead of just reading it out of a book, we take it a step further and actually do it. Everything from cooking to heavy combat. Yes, we actually don armor and take the field and battle each other. Our Shire is available for demos at local schools, Cub Scout events, and any other organizations interested in learning more about the Middle-Ages. If interested, you can contact our Seneschal.

Welcome home Princess Maerwynn. Our own
Mistress Maerwynn of Holme is now the current Princess of Calontir.
Graf Luther went undefeated in the 50th Calontir Crown Tournament to become Prince and his consort was our own Maerwynn. Congratulations to the Prince and Princess of Calontir!
The Shire website is currently not being updated as often as I am working the newest version of the website. The new site will incorporate new software that will hopefully make the site easier to navigate as well as add a level of user cusomization that will make it more personal. Updates as they develop. Check back soon. I hope to have it up and running after Melees & Mayhem.
